Is there any musical device which plays a chord on pressing a single key?

 is it called a chorded keyboard?i want to play any standard major/minor chord by pressing a single key.is there any software available that does this on a pc?

I have two electronic keyboards that do this, a Casio, and a Yamaha.

 

Why do you want to do this? Are you writing songs?

 

Have you thought of learning to do this yourself?

 

There are only 12 Major and 12 minor triads.

The first musical device that came to mind with your description (a "musical device which plays a chord on pressing a single key") was an accordion.  I'm pretty sure that's now that you're looking for, though.

 

There are many sample libraries that offer features like the ones you describe, especially those in the Native Instruments "Komplete" libraries.  For example, most of the Scarbee libraries have an option to have different keys on your midi controller trigger specific chords on the guitar.
