general standard formula for an ellipse is
(x-h)^2/a^2 + (y-k)^2/b^2 = 1
where (h,k) = center
and a = the semi horizontal axis, 2a = the horizontal axis
b = the semi vertical axis, 2b = the vertical axis
if the ellipse has some points or other ellipse info
you can plug in the values and solve for remaining unknowns
