Notation for 2nd equation is ambiguous. y = (1/3)x - 1 would be a linear equation with slope = 1/3 and y-intercept at (0,-1). y = 1/(3)x - 1could be interpreted as y = 1/(3x) - 1. Or perhaps y = 1/[3x - 1]. Too bad there is no easy way to create a fraction with a horizontal separator between numerator and denominator.12/20/23
