Which sequence of transformations will result in an image that is similar to its pre-image?

  1. A dilation followed by a translation
  2. A reflection followed by a translation
  3.  A rotation followed by a reflection
  4.  A translation followed by a reflection

Hi Diana L a Dilation is not a rigid motion it can expand or contract(shrink) the size of a figure, so a dilation can produce a similar figure. You should check the other options 2 through 4 to confirm that they are rigid transformations that do not change the size of the figure
