y=1/3x+12 The perpendicular slope to m=1/3 is m=-3 (the negative reciprocal)
Need to put this second equation in that form to see the slope.
2y-6x=8 add 6x to both sides.
2y=6x+8 Divide everything by 2
y=3x+4 The slope is 3, not -3. So this is NOT perpendicular
