Is the distance between two planes infinite when both are in different dimension(2d and 3d)?

let's say the point in 2D (0,0) and plane in 3D at (0,0,1)! What is the distance between these two , is it infinite?

No, because the distance is always between two points. The 2D point has a coordinate missing, the one that is not in the dimension included in the 3D point.
