Yep. You are correct, except it forms Ca(OH)2, and not Ca(OH).
The reaction is Ca + 2H2O ==> Ca(OH)2 + H2

I think it’s a strong base because if it’s ionizing with h H2O, it turns to Ca(OH) right?
but I’m not completely sure.
