Question Regarding Geometry

Quadrilateral PQRS is translated to form Quadrilateral P′Q′R′S′. Which statement must be true?

A. PQ and P′Q′ are parallel and congruent.

B. PQ and P′Q′ are parallel but not congruent.

C. PQ and P′Q′are congruent but not parallel.

D. PQ and P′Q′are neither congruent nor parallel.

A. PQ and P′Q′ are parallel and congruent. A translation is a shift in the points by the same distance. If you drew a triangle and then moved all the points 2 units right and 2 units down you would see the sides would all be the same size as the original and corresponding sides are parallel.
