3/6x+ 3 = 9/x +4 is literally how the problem seems to be written

so then using order of operations, PEMDAS

1/2x = 9/x + 1

multiply by 2x

1 = 18 + 2x

2x = -17

x = -17/2

but if you really mean 3/(6x+3) = 9/(x+4)

cross multiply to get

3x+12 = 54x+27

51x = -15

x =-15/51 = -5/17
