Help with a geometry question...

Two circular cylinders are similar. The ratio of their bases is 9:4. 

Find the ratio of the volumes of the similar solids.

if ratio of base 9/4 for C2 to C1

then radius of C2 is 3/2 that of C!

meaning height f C2 is 3/2 that of C1

so

Vol C2 is 9/4*3/2=27/8 that of C1

B/b = 9/4, so, V/v = (9/4)^3/2 = 27/8
