A race car travels northward on a straight, level track at a constant speed travels 0.756 km in 23.0 s. The return trip over the same track is made in 28.0 s. (a) What is the average velocity of the car in m/s for the first leg of the run? (b) What is the average velocity for the total trip?

1) v_avg = .756 m/23 s

2) v_avg is 0 for any roundtrip process because x_f-x_i = 0

average speed would be 2(.756m)/(23+28s)
