To convert radians to degrees, we multiply the radians by 180°/π.
I'm not sure if #1 is supposed to be (1/4) • π or 1 / (4•π), but I will assume it was (1/4) • π.
[(1/4) • π] • (180° / π) = degrees
The pi's cancel and we are left with (1/4) • 180° = 45°
