If n=29, ¯ x (x-bar)=47, and s=4, find the margin of error at a 98% confidence level

If n=29, ¯x¯(x-bar)=47, and s=4, find the margin of error at a 98% confidence level

I like using technology to get these margins of error. The method I use in this case is using TInterval found under the stats > tests menu. In the case where you want to get the margin of error the trick is to give the calculator 0 for the x-bar. That way the lower and upper end up being +/- the margin of error. If I can help you with the details let me know. I would suggest you try this method first, but if you need to see it using formulas (no calculator, just tables) let me know. I’ll be happy to help either way.
