Area = 1/2 * apothem * perimeter
Area = 1/2 * 9√3 * (9*8)
Area = 1/2 * 9√3 * 72
Area = 36 * 9√3
Area = 324√3 square feet
We got the perimeter by multiplying the number of sides in the nonagon (9 sides) by the length of each side (8 feet).

This is not a regular nonagon: 2·tan(20°)·9√3 = (11.347...) ≠ 8.
