If 7 Ms and 4 N are given you to create moles. How many are able to be created? What are the excess and limiting reactants?

Ms and N are fake elements in this scenario. It takes 2 Ms and 1 N to create a mole.

I posted an answer but Wyzant has placed it under review. Maybe it will appear in the future, but for now I'll comment here. If you have 7 Ms and it take 2 Ms to make a mole, then you have 7/2 = 3.5 moles of M. It takes 1N to make a mole and you have 4 Ns, so you have 4/1 = 4 moles of N. We cannot determine the limiting and excess reactants because we don't know the reaction between M and N. If they react in a 1:1 mole ratio, then M will be limiting and N will be in excess.

Also, curious as to why your teacher doesn't give you REAL problems instead of making up these ridiculous examples that don't have answers.
