Which is the next step in the following construction of a square?

 Place the compass at point B and open it to point P. 

Place the compass at point A and open it to greater than P. 

Place the compass at point A, and draw arcs above and below the diameter. 

Place the compass at point P, and draw arcs above and below the diameter. I say option 3 but if not give me the correcr one please.
