Two of my key leadership traits are the ability to listen and the willingness to nurture other people's talents. People want to be heard and seen, and understood; you can't hear and see people if you are always talking and looking over them. If you truly want to be a good leader, you will truly want to know your people. Everyone has something to offer; as a good leader, you want to figure out what everyone's talents are, trust those abilities and highlight them. In turn, you will build a higher energy, more highly motivated, more positive team that, in turn, will trust and believe in you.
