- This is a grouped frequency distribution, so you need to find the class midpoints ( which will be the 'x' values) first using the following formula: Class mid-point=(lower limit of the class+ upper limit for the class)/2
- So for the first class, the class midpoint is: (51+60)/2=55.5. This value if the 'x' for the first group.
- The fx for the first group= f*x=3*55.5=166.5. This is the first entry for the third column, fx.
- Similarly calculate rest of the 'fx column' entries.
