1). The reaction absorbs heat (306 kJ). This makes the reaction endothermic.
2). Since 351 kJ of heat flows out of the system, the temperature of the water will go up.
3). As the gaseous reaction absorbs heat, the pressure will increase and push the piston out.
4). Since the piston moves out, the system is doing work on the surroundings.
5). The system absorbed 305 kJ of energy and released 351 kJ of energy. Work = difference between the two.
