Note the mole ratio of 2 : 1 for NaOH : H2SO4
moles H2SO4 present = 10.0 ml x 1 L / 1000 ml x 0.50 mol / L = 0.0050 mols
mols NaOH needed = 0.0050 mols H2SO4 x 2 mols NaOH / 1 mol H2SO4 = 0.010 mols
Volume (mls) NaOH needed = 0.010 mols NaOH x 1 L / 0.250 mols x 1000 mls / L = 40 mls NaOH
