- Rename Your Windows 10 PC:
- right-click on the Start button and click 'System'.
- Under 'Device specifications', click 'Rename this PC'.
- Type 'DESKTOP1-XX', replacing 'XX' with your initials, then click 'Next'.
- You'll be prompted to restart your PC to apply the changes.
- Joining Your Computer to a Domain:
- After your computer restarts, right-click the Start button and click 'System' again.
- Scroll down and click 'About', then click 'Join a domain'.
- Enter 'u0123456.corp' into the text box and follow the prompts.
- Note: You will need the domain administrator credentials to join the domain.
- Move the Computer Account in Active Directory:
- On your Domain Controller (DC1), open 'Active Directory Users and Computers'.

- In the dialog box that opens, navigate to and select the SLC Organizational Unit (OU), then click 'OK' to move the computer account.
- Login as User on the Domain:
- After joining the domain, restart your computer.
- At the login screen, you'll need to switch to another user and enter the domain user credentials.

- If you're prompted to change your password, follow the prompts to create a new password.
