How can I be sure to find "all the possibilities"?

By making a straight cut through one vertex of an isosceles triangle, Dylan dissected the triangle into two smaller isosceles triangles. Find the angle sizes of the original triangle. There is more than one possibility. How can you be sure that you have found them all?

Do you have a diagram of the Original Triangle associated with your question? If not, you should draw an Isosceles triangle, dissect it into two smaller isosceles. You should also look into dissecting triangles in your text or online to confirm that a straight cut as above yields other Isosceles triangles
