statistics, histograms about mean and medians

Use the properties of the mean and median to determine which are the correct mean and median for the following histogram.

(i) or (iii) because mean<median given rightward skew


probably (iii)


mean =.5(5.5)+ .3(4.5) +...


=2.75+1.5 +...

>4.25 which eliminates (i). (ii) and (iv)
