Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
E(2,1) F(7,2), G(4,9) H(-1,7)
EF has slope = (2-1)/(7-2)= 1/5
FG has slope = (9-2)/(4-7) = -7/3=-2 1/3
GH has slope = (9-7)/4+1) = 2/5
EH has slope = (7-1)/(-1-2) = 6/-3 = -2
EG has slope = (9-1)/(4-2)= 8/2 = 4
FH has slope = (7-2)/-1-7) = 5/-8 = -5/8
to be a parallelogram opposite sides must be parallel
none of the sides in EFGH have parallel sides
if they did, they'd have equal slopes
none of the slopes are equal
it may help to plot the pionts, connect the points and see if it looks like a parallelogram. sides FG and EH are close to parallel, -2 and - 2 1/3
GH and Ef are also close to parallel, 1/5 and 2/5. You could say it's almost a parallelogram, but it's not.
