STAT: Simple Standard Deviation

Is there a way to tell if one of many data sets has a greater sample standard deviation as well as the least sample standard deviation when the data sets are vertically place 0-4 with a vertical line on their right. Then on the left side of the line with each 0-4 having their own sets of numbers besides them. Also, they have a key:1|5=15

It is hard to understand exactly what you are talking about but in general if you have multiple data sets which you are comparing, those which show the greatest spread in occurrence of values will have the greatest variance / standard deviation. For example, if the below graphic reflects the histogram or vertical display of values from two data sets with the same means, the left one will have more variance. In truth, the best way to chack is to just enter the data into a file and use R or other software calculate the variance.
