Diversity in the workplace is a major topic in today's business world.

The problem is, that diversity is not a one-and-done. To successfully build a diverse workforce and allow everyone to contribute fully, you have to allow and encourage divergent thought. As such, there may be more conflict in a diverse team, and the manager must channel this to ensure the conflict is productive. This can be very challenging for a manger. However, there is plenty of literature and research out there to implement effective strategies to truly build and maximize the benefits of a diverse team.
