Hi Sachi,
Yes, I and most other tutors offer in-person tutoring. I live in California (the San Francisco Bay Area to be exact). If that is where you or someone you know who is looking for in-person tutoring resides, and you are interested in receiving in-person instruction in the multitude of academic subject matter for which I am qualified to teach, feel free to drop me a line here at WyzAnt!

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
Most everyone does. It helps if you're in the same city though, somewhat nearby. then you have to figure out where to meet, and how to minimize transportation time or costs. Up to you how far you're willing to travel, and up to payment negotiation how far the tutor is willing to go.
But some may avoid in person tutoring if they're a little paranoid or health conscious, due to the covid19 pandemic. If that's their reason, both of you should wear masks, the N95 or ones that offer more protection than the blue ones. Or even require a covid19 infection test, negative result You can get free tests at some places. although someone sticking something up your nose isn't fun. Or just ask to see a vaccine card with booster shots. (although some people have been known to forge them--fraud in all categories has been up since the pandemic)
Personally, it's just the flu, a common cold, going round, as it does every winter. But don't quote me, that's "disinformation" to Mr. Science Expert Dr. Fauci & some CDC people, and Big Pharma, the vaccine manufacturers. So I never said any of the above. Just between you me and your dog, if you have one.
You're right though, to prefer in person. Zoom internet connections can work, but they just aren't as good as in person. My personal opinion, but shared by many, although not by Dr. Fauci or Cal Tech's Professor Sheldon Cooper, major super health fanatics of our era.
also try to get someone who is more specialized in your particular problem of difficulty
if it's math, narrow the problems down to algebra, calculus, trig, statistics, precaluc, geometry or other more specialized areas of math. Some math tutors are super good in their area of best expertise but not so good in other areas
if it's economics, academic economics (as opposed to business, finance or related money type areas) get someone specializing in micro or macro which ever you're having problems with.
if it's criminal law, go with a criminal justice major, law student who has at least taken criminal law and criminal procedure courses, or a lawyer who does only criminal law, preferably in the state where you are, as laws vary by state.
if it's another area, same situation, narrow down what you're looking for. if you can.
