1- The records of a computer retail store show that out of the 100 customers who purchased a desktop computer last month, all but 28 also purchased a service plan that extends the warranty for an extra year. Out of the 25 customers who purchased a notebook computer last month, all but 10 purchased the same service plan.Fill in the blanks below to make the most reasonable statement possible.
answer:
Last month, customers of the store who purchased ▼desktop computers were more likely to purchase the service plan. That is because only 28% did not purchase the service plan, whereas 40%
of the customers who bought ▼notebook computers did not purchase the service plan.

You filled in the blanks fine, I guess. However, this is not the answer that one would provide in an introductory statistics class or the like.
In such a class, you would look at this problem as being appropriate for a chi-square test of independence.
It is difficult to know how much information that I need to provide you; I would suggest that you look up 2 by 2 tests of independence. You will see 100s of reference; many will mention using a chi square tst; the first that popped up for me was https://online.stat.psu.edu/stat500/lesson/8/8.2
Using the chi square test, you will see that the test statistic for this is 1.361162 (usually rounded to 1.36) with 1 degree of freedom, which has a p-value of .243336 (often rounded to .2433, or the p=value generated from 1.36). The rule of thumb is that you fail to reject the null hypothesis of independence if the p-value is greater than .05 (worded another way, you test with a type 1 error, or alpha, of .05, and fail to reject because the test statistic is less than the critical value of 3.8414588 (usually rounded to 3.84). Thus, you fail to reject, so you can't say that the rate of purchase of the extended warranty will be greater for the desktop - or that it is different.
