asked 12/04/22How do you find the perimeter of something on a graph?
Plot ABCDE formed with the points A(−3,−2), B(5,−2), C(5,3), D(1,6), and E(−3,3) onto graph paper
- Enlarge it from the origin by a factor of 2. Label this new shape A′B′C′D′E′.
- Find the area and the perimeter of both figures.

Hi Savy S.
Follow the instructions
First and most importantly I highly recommend drawing the figure on a grid.
Second find the length of each side by using the formula for the distance between two points
Finally for the perimeter you just add the lengths together.
Depending on what kind of figure you end up with you might also need to drop an altitude to determine the area. Note you need to draw the figure to see what you are dealing with.
