cos(3x-75) = .5 = 1/2

3x-75 = 30, 150, 390, 510, 750, 870

3x = 105, 225, 465, 585,

x = 33, 73, 133, 193,

Oops, think you were thinking sin on this one. Cos is positive in quadrants 1 and 4.

cos 60 = .5 and also cos 300 = .5. We only need between 0 and 360 degrees, so solve 3x-75 = 60 and 3x-75 = 300 for x and you will arrive at your answers.
