If you made a typo and you mean CB equals 8√2, then this makes more sense. If this is the case, the problem is solved as follows:
CB is the hypotenuse and AC and AB are the congruent legs because you said two sides are both "x". You are looking for the lengths of the legs.
Using the Pythagorean Theorem...
x2+x2=(8√2)2
2x2=(8√2)2
2x2=(8*8*√2*√2)
2x2=64*2
divide both sides by 2
x2=64
x=√64
x=8 units
