Does the question have a dataset or something like that that goes with it? Typically you would be given a set of data points and then be trying to use those in order to find the lower quartile (Q1) and upper quartile (Q3) values. The lower quartile is the median of the lower half of the data and the upper quartile is the median of the upper half of the data.
