Public Speaking/Oral Business Presentation Skills Coaching
I can't say for sure that public speaking fear can ever be controlled completely for everyone, but I can say for sure that you can learn to manage it to a comfortable level Even seasoned actors and singers will say at times, they still feel nervous before taking the stage. Speaking fears can be mental, physical, or a combination of both. There are reasons that individuals can have public speaking fears. The ones that I teach/coach in my classes and seminars are 1) The speaker is not knowledgeable about their subject matter, 2) The speaker is worried about the audience judging him/her, 3) The speaker has not practiced the presentation enough, so she/he is unsure of themselves in front of an audience, and 4) Speakers become overwhelmed if they cannot manage their non-verbal communication (clicking a pen constantly, tapping on the lecturn, etc. during a presentation.
