CO2 + H2 ==> CO + H2O
0.5 M....0.5M.....0.2M.....0.2M ARE THESE THE INITIAL CONCENTRATIONS? ASSUME THEY ARE!
Q = reaction quotient = [CO][H2O] / [CO2][H2]
Q = (0.2)(0.2) / (0.5)(0.5)
Q = 0.16 which is much less than K (1.44), so reaction will proceed toward the products:
CO2 + H2 ==> CO + H2O
0.5.....0.5.......0.2.......0.2.......Initial
-x......-x.........+x........+x........Change
0.5-x..0.5-x...0.2+x..0.2+x...Equilibrium
Kc = 1.44 = (0.2+x)2 / (0.5-x)2
Solve for x and plug into the equilibrium concentrations of the ICE table
