To solve this, you just need to use y=mx+b. You use the point (2,-1) for x and y, plug in the slope, which here is 1, then solve for b. y=mx+b. m=slope
-1=(1)(2)+b. (Replace x, y, and m with above values
-1=2+b. (subtract 2 from both sides)
-3=b. Now, in the final equation of the line, you need to put in m and b, and leave x and y unchanged.
y=1x-3
y=x-3 (You don't need to have the 1 in front of the x. It is automatically there).
