Angles G and H are complementary:
G+H=90°
Then: G = 90° - H ...(1)
Angle G is 17° more than angle H:
G = H+ 17° ...(2)
Replacing the value of G in equation (2):
G = H+ 17°
90° - H = H+ 17°
90° - 17° = H + H
73° = 2H
36.5° = H
Replacing the value of H in equation (1):
G = 90° - H
G = 90° - 36.5°
G = 53.5°
