The population increase from 2000 to 2001 ( is (8*200/100)= 16
thus the total population in 2001 will be 200+16=216, continuing in accumulation we use:
P=200(1+8/100)^19 =863.1402 where P is the population in 2019
Thus the population in 2019 will be 864 thousands

Its 863.1402 which is population not just values, and no half person is ever present thus any fraction is rounded off to the nearest whole number. But the base line is thousands

"about 200 thousand" and "8% each year" indicate estimates. So, how can you say that 863140 is "about 804 thousand" ??? Shouldn't you round normally ??? [ about 803 thousand ]09/20/22
