I need help with STATA coding I am trying the use the replace command to give variable B a value

Question

B=0 if A<=7.6 indicating no evidence of clinical risk factors or B=1 if A>7.6 is what I am trying to do. I do not know why I keep getting a lot of syntax errors.

Hi Gregory,

You might try the following:

replace B=0 if A<=7.6

replace B=1 if A>=7.61

*Note: Depending on what the variable units are there may be additional considerations.
