Assuming that we are dealing with a complete combustion reaction for C8H18, we would have the following balanced equation:
2 C8H18 + 25 O2 ==> 16 CO2 + 18 H2O ... balanced equation
Using dimensional analysis, we can find mols of O2 needed
7.4 mol C8H18 x 25 mol O2 / 2 mol C8H18 = 92.5 mols O2 needed (93 mols to 2 sig.figs)
