Vertical angles are equal. So you can set up an equation:
angle 1 = angle 2
17x+1=20x-14 Solve for x. Subtract 17x from both sides of the equation
17x+1-17x=20x-14-17x Combine like terms
1=3x-14 Add 14 to both sides of the equation
1+14=3x-14+14 Combine like terms
15=3x Divide both sides by 3
15/3=3x/3
5=x
Now plug in x into angle 2 equation
20(5)-14 = 86°
