If θ = 45º and the hypotenuse θθ  has length 37, how long is the side adjacent to θ? Give answer in exact form.

hypotenuse = 37

side next to 45 = 37/sqr2 in exact form

or 18.5sqr2 also in exact form

(although there are two sides adjacent to 45 degrees, both 37/sqr2 and 37)

37/sqr2 = about 26.2
