asked 08/30/22If QR = 6x + 1, PR = 14x-13, and PQ = 5x -2, find PR.
Been stuck on this problem for quite a long time now. The answers I get are not accurate. Thanks for the help.

you might try setting PQ + QR = PR. That seems to be the relationship. I think that will work. x = 4 looks like?
This problem has alternate solution also.
Assume that points P, Q, and R lie in the same straight line (although this is not said in the problem description)
If the point Q lies between P and R, then PQ + QR = PR, x=4, and PR = 14(4)-13 = 43.
But what if the point P lie between Q and R?
Then PQ + PR = QR
(5x-2) + (14x-13) = 6x+1
Solve this equation.
x = 16/13 and PR = 14(16/13)-13 = 4+3/13
