Among my many approaches to tackling the material on the exam, one of them is to ask students to label their passages with B (beginning), M (middle(, and E (end) and brackets to make the boundaries of each part clear.. This request is for the purpose of helping the student to retrieve answers quicker and recollection of the sequence easier.
I ask students to read the question stems and not the answer choices before reading a passage. There is the likelihood that the pupil's interest will increase.

To improve your score on the SAT and ACT, you must do two things:
1) Complete practice exams with a timer to emulate the actual pace of the exam
2) Get and SAT/ACT tutor to teach you how to do the hardest problems accurately and within the time limits
