The room is 2300 mm wide and 3000 mm long. A laminate floor with dimensions of 132 x 2200 will be installed on it. How wide should the starting and ending pieces be so that they are the same width on both sides in the width direction? The laminate is installed as picture show.
1. Let's calculate how many laminate boards are needed?
2. How wide should the starting and ending pieces be so that they are the same width on both sides in the width direction?

Assuming you are using rectangular board of 132 x 2200 (not sure if you meant 132x220), then we can use one full board per row with two 132 x 400 boards on each end. This will give us 17 full rows of boards with 56mm left in the bottom of the room.

If the width of the room, 2300 mm, is covered by 17 132 mm wide strips. That is 2240 mm. Leaving 30 mm on each side. OK?08/03/22
