You can think of this as the result of f(6) sent through the function of g, so:
Square root of f(6) = sqrt(62 +3•6) = sqrt(36+18) = √54
Remove the factor of 54 that is a perfect square, 9, to simplify, and you're left with 3•sqrt (6) or 3√6.
