if MT is a diagonal of the square = 7sqr2
and ST = a side of the square then ST= 7
a square's side is the diagonal divided by square root of 2
7sqr2/sqr2 = 7 = MT
Use the Pythagorean theorem
diagonal squared = one side squared plus another side squared
d^2 = s^2 + s^2 = 2s^2
d = s(sqr2)
7sqr2 = s(sqr2
s = 7
