100 ml solution x 1 L / 1000 ml = 0.100 liters of solution desired
0.100 liters x 3 mol NaOH / liter = 0.3 mol NaOH needed
Molar mass NaOH = 40 g / mol
40 g / mol x 0.3 mol = 12 g NaOH needed
Procedure:
Weigh out 12 g NaOH
Dissolve in water (less than 100 ml)
Transfer to a 100 ml volumetric flask
Fill to the 100 ml line to make 100 ml of 3 M NaOH
