What would be the cases here? What variable(s) observed is/are categorical and which variable(s) is/are quantitative?

Suppose a simple random sample of 32 shoppers at a small grocery store was recorded over a one-week time span during the late evening hours. The number of items purchased, the purchase amount in dollars, and the payment method (credit or other) were recorded. You are to assume the role of a store employee who happens to be taking statistics. Help your supervisor analyze the data set as described below.

What would be the cases here? What variable(s) observed is/are categorical and which variable(s) is/are quantitative? For the categorical variable give the proportions (or percentages) of the observations that belong to each category.
