I got -8 when I calculated, but I'm not sure if it would be A or B

Use the equation:

1/f = 1/p + 1/q

1/4 = 1/8 + 1/q

1/q = 1/8

q=+8cm

Since it's a convex lens, the image is formed to the right of the lens
