Looks like you are having a bit of trouble with proofs.
That is a central theme of geometry, so I think this is a geometry issue. And that is not uncommon.
Doing proofs take practice. There is no magic that gets around that. Not the best thing you wanted to hear, I am sure. But there is a method to figure these things out.
Proofs are like a puzzle. The pieces have to fit together to make it work. The way to solve the puzzle is to start with what you are told to begin with (Given), look at where you need to go (Prove), and then figure out the pieces in between.
It is often very good to look at the Prove (destination) and then work backwards from that. to the Given (starting point) Kind of like, if I want to drive across the country, do I want to end up in Los Angeles, or San Francisco, or Seattle? There are many ways for me to get to each location. But if I start from the destination and work backwards I might get the best route to get from New England to my favorite west coast city.
Proofs are kind of like that.
